Our Pro range features Aluula technology materials that are lighter, stiffer and stronger for maximum efficiency that feels very direct and extremely responsive.
Products in the Pro Range
ALUULA™ 98 is an exceptionally lightweight, high-modulus composite material engineered for maximum stiffness, strength and responsiveness. Its outstanding strength-to-weight ratio allows for a lighter and more rigid airframe with significantly reduced deformation and elongation.
The material is optimized for PolyFusion® heat welding, eliminating needle holes and reducing the need for additional reinforcement materials. A UV-resistant laminated outer film provides excellent durability and tear resistance, while low water absorption helps maintain consistently low weight on the water.
The result is an extremely direct and responsive feel, improved structural efficiency and outstanding light-wind performance.
Performance Features
- Superior stiffness and exceptionally light composite construction for unparalleled strength-to-weight ratio
- High modulus ALUULA™ 98 core material suitable for Polyfusion® heat welding process with no needle holes and no extra reinforcement materials
- Polyfusion is a Heat-and-pressure fusion that creates a continuous bonded surface, allowing loads to move more evenly through the leading edge.
- Maximum structural stiffness with less deformation and elongation
- UV Resistant laminated outer film for proven durability and tear-resistant

PolyFusion welded ALUULA construction delivers a lighter, stronger, less stretchy, and more aerodynamically efficient kite and wing frame with cleaner load transfer, more direct handling, and improved durability compared with traditional stitched construction.
Key advantages
- Stronger seam construction
Welded seams are reported to be over 60% stronger than traditional stitched seams. - Lower stretch/elongation
Seams stretch less than half as much, helping the kite and wing maintain their designed shape under load. - More efficient load transfer
Heat-and-pressure fusion creates a continuous bonded surface, allowing loads to move more evenly through the leading edge. - Fewer stress concentrations
No needle holes and no extra reinforcement materials in the seam, reducing localised stress points and potential failure zones. - Cleaner aerodynamic profile
The welded leading edge is smoother and experiences less “ballooning” or bulging under pressure, improving airflow and efficiency. - Lighter overall structure
Eliminating additional seam reinforcements saves weight. - Smaller and cleaner leading edge
Aluula with Polyfusion offers a cleaner and reduced leading-edge diameter, lowering drag and improving airflow. - Better upwind performance
Reduced drag and improved aerodynamics help the wing track upwind more effectively. - More direct and responsive handling
The combination of low weight, controlled stiffness, and reduced deformation produces quicker steering response while remaining smooth and predictable. - Potentially better durability
Reduced elongation and fewer stress hotspots mean less fatigue in the leading edge over time.

X6 ripstop is our new fundamental secondary material used in trailing edges to increase stability and tension. X6 is a lightweight ultra-high tenacity polyester yarn with less elongation which reduces flutter. This allows for the canopy to retain its tenacity and adds durability over time. X6 has improved the force transition between the inflatable structure and the canopy significantly.
